Tournament Director for Windows is software that helps you run and organise chess tournaments. It includes ECF Swiss pairing, ECF Grading and submission. FIDE rating, Swiss pairing and FIDE Data Exchange.

Tournament Director for Windows is specifically designed to help you organise, run and report on a chess tournament run to the English Chess Federation (ECF) of FIDE rules and regulations. It uses your player lists, the ECF Grading list or FIDE Rating list, automatic Swiss pairing or all-play-all pairing, a full range of reports including ECF grading submission files and ECF game fee calculation, which will help you administer and run your chess tournaments.

UTU Limited

UTU Limited has taken over the support and development of Tournament Director for Windows. There is no change to the licence or support arrangements.

UTU Limited is in the process of redeveloping Tournament Director for Windows as a new product called UTU Swiss. This will incorporate the new ECF Swiss pairing rules and will be available later this year.

English Chess Federation

Tournament Director for Windows fully supports the old ECF Swiss Pairings rules, the ECF Grading system, loading of the ECF Grading Master list and the creation of the ECF Grading submission file.

Tournament Director for Windows is currently being updated to support the unified British Swiss Pairing rules (as agreed by the English, Scottish and Welsh chess federations). This will be release later this year.

FIDE Endorsement

Tournament Director for Windows has been officially endorsed by FIDE at the 81st FIDE General Assembly by the Swiss Pairings Programmes Committee. The minutes documenting the accreditation can be viewed here.

Results Service
The Tournament Results Service allows you to publish tournaments results directly to the internet. The Results Service automatically creates web pages for each round and a final cross table. Anyone is welcome to submit their tournament to the results service for free!
